What Is Life, and Is It Worth Living?
Life is an existence. Life is a gift given freely to everyone. We didn’t buy life, we didn’t work for it, yet it came as a free gift. Life is an existence, not just a biological process or the mere definition science gives to it. What science sees as life is only a minute detail of life. Life is what we unveil every day as we are given the opportunity to exist.
Is Life Worth Living?
Yes, life is worth living because it is the only reason we exist, and we are indebted to live our lives to the fullest not living like a stranger or like a crowd in a market. You have an essence for existence, and everything in life bears witness to your words, actions, and character.
From the universal law of gravitation, it is stated that bodies on earth experience a force of attraction which is proportional to the product of their masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. This signifies a connection between humans. We were brought together for a reason, and as I said, we have witnesses.
You have a role: to love your neighbour as yourself and to love the Almighty God with all your mind and your might. That is a role, and it is part of your existence.
Another reason life is worth living is your impact. According to the law of gravitation, we are connected, which means you are meant to live a selfless life. The Bible says, “Anyone who tries to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life on my account will find it.”
The reason you will lose your life by trying to save it is because it doesn’t belong to you in the first place. It is a free gift you didn’t pay for. Therefore, you must live a selfless life, impacting others, making people happy, and solving real human problems in big or small ways you can. Part of your life is your influence. Does influence reflect the essence of life, or the opposite?
Wrapping Up
There is a life called eternal life, this is a life that was bought through the blood of Jesus (His birth, death, and resurrection). Jesus paid for eternal life.
John 3:16:
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
Eternal life is the life of God. It is an extension of God’s life, and life is what gives you access to heaven, because without eternal life, you will perish in hell. What you have to do is believe in Jesus, and then you have eternal life. As I said earlier, it is a free gift.
Conclusion
Your life does not belong to you, and it is worth living well and to the fullest. You must live it selflessly, with impact, kindness, love, and by being a blessing to humanity.
